PLAYERS

So...these placards.  We wanted to offer something to each player that you or your kids can enjoy and pass along to grandkids, etc.  You know, something that will echo and glow (across the decades) and capture for them a vivid sense of this memorable part of your life.

The Man in The Glass was such a central force in Dee's coaching.  With that in mind, I pictured three 8"-by-10" placards next to each other (in some order) side by side.  Want to download the poem?  Click (or tap) here.  And, yes, indeed, ALL your dreams will come true.

Bottom line: (1) click (or tap) on your name; (2) download the PDF; (3) send the PDF to a print shop.  The print shop will then print what you order on either a thick paper or stock more like cardboard.  They will help you figure it out.  Any problems, you get in touch with me.

From the first practice to the final game, all football teams (at every level) are "works in progress."  A team rarely has the same active roster at the final game as it does at the first practice.  This seems especially to apply to college teams.  As a work in progress, your '67 roster was no different.

The team photo in The Beaver yearbook for 1968 showed a handful of guys who didn't seem to participate as either game or practice players in '67.  I assure you, I've done my utmost to sort out those who contributed to the triumphs of that season.  If someone isn't here who should be here, let me know.

If you had a "head shot" and an "action pose" shot, I combined those with your head shot set within an orange frame.  I used your orange-frame shots for the tribute video I did for your 50th reunion, which is a broad update from the video I did for your 40th reunion.  See below for a few examples.

There are two slideshows below.  #1 consists of placards of your face shots and #2 is placards of your action shots.  You can download each by clicking your name in the roster, then clicking or tapping within the two PDFs that will appear.  If you have a problem, let me know.  We'll figure something out.

NOTE: you can't––CANNOT––download any slides from any of the slideshows because the slides are not in a format to allow that.  But you can click any name in the roster and download the PDF generated by the name (which is a link).  Ignore this at your peril.  Could be a pop quiz in your near future.

COACHES SLIDESHOW

PLAYERS SLIDESHOW #1

PLAYERS SLIDESHOW #2

Some guys on the roster have an action shot but no face shot while a few have a face shot but no action shot.  What to do?  Well, send me the photos I don't have if you happen to have them.  I'd like to include both shots for each one of you.  I don't know if this is me being a "perfectionist" or just OCD doing what OCD does.  But I sleep better if I feel I've hit my highest mark.

Each name on the roster below is a link to a PDF of your own three "keepsakes" (or two).  As I said, some of you have either face shots or action shots I'm not able to unearth.  Not really a big deal if you can live with that.

For GK Coaches and Honorary GKs, go to the Archive and click or tap on those listings to view or download them.  Note: most of the Honorary GKs won't be strangers to you but some will.  The reason they are part of this is because each has been a timely and significant figure in my life and has contributed in some crucial way to what we needed to drive this project to a close.
